I'm moving into hard surface modelling and subdivision surface modelling and am going to work on technique for the next few posts, and work on getting a solidy body of work by the end of the year.
OK, this is quite a process, it works, there's no documentation on it, and it's frustrating. BUT, the good news is I tried it twice (actually about a billion times) and it works. There needs to be more explanation on the step by step guide, but this is all I can manage at one in the morning... I will tame this wild beast, Zbrush!
WIP - bust of a male. Still much to be done, but since Z-brush crashed THREE times (and no, I didn't use incremental save... THREE times... you think I would have learnt the first time!!!). Starting to use more of the available tools tho' masking, morphing and move...
Back on the zbrush quest - loads of fun. Time to explore and expand... this mesh wasn't good enough to carry on with - the head had well spaced geometry and all quadded, but the bust and hair geometry was triangulated and too low. So, try again....
